Hi Bob and all the crew at Lowestoft. I hope you are all well and safe.
Thank you Bob for following me on Twitter. As you know i am doing a 1,046 mile walk next year for the R.N.L.I and it is great to get to know some of the crews, -both boat and shore- Please keep in touch, stay save and continue to do the great job that you do.

To Richard, John and the Crew, Thank you so much for such a wonderful day today. Your Family Day was a great success, and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I wouldn't want to appear greedy, but it would be lovely if this was an annual event! Thanks and Well Done to you all.

I'd like to say a very BIG THANK YOU for your service to the East Coast of England. Without the service you give, there would be a lot less people in the world today. I think you guys do a great Job. My Grandfather used to be a lifeboatman on the Henry Ramey Upcher lifeboat at Sheringham many many years ago. I lost him when I was 13 years old and am now 45. I was at the airshow both days last week and noticed a red flare from the yacht which was in trouble out at sea. It's in my blood and have alway said that had I have lived near the sea, I would have volunteered to become a lifeboatman, It wasn't to be, but I get a VERY big buzz whenever I get clost to where a lifeboat is housed or moored as yours is. Thanks again lads for a wonderful service. Ian Cutter

With reference to the comment from L.Sherburn, I'll second that. I am also researching the history of the Pakefield Lifeboat. My GG grandfather was a crew member.

L Sherburn says...
Any chance of adding some photos and information about the Lifeboats and Coxswains of the former Pakefield Lifeboat station to your history archive section?. I know this would be of interest to people, like myself, researching their family history. I have several ancestors who served on Pakefield boats, including a 2nd Coxswain.
